Clever is seeking an Account Executive for Education Partnerships (Australia). This is a new role focused on expanding Clever’s presence in the Australian education market. The Account Executive will work to grow Clever’s business in the region by selling EdTech solutions to primary and secondary educational institutions, building customer relationships, and supporting successful implementation. 

Location: Australia-based (remote)
Contract: 9 months, potential for extension
Work rights: Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Develop Clever’s presence and market share in Australia by selling EdTech solutions to medium and large educational institutions.
  • Educate potential customers on the value of Clever’s platform.
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers at schools and educational organizations across Australia.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, using Salesforce (SFDC) to track and measure progress.
  • Operate entrepreneurially, working to establish Clever in the market, and providing insights and new ideas to accelerate our growth. 
  • Collaborate with Clever global team members to tailor our strategy and offerings.
  • Create a great experience for our customers in Australia, supplementing the work of customer success and support teams when needed.
  • Represent Clever in Australia with key partners at conferences and education events to build awareness of Clever’s solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience building relationships and selling technology products to educational institutions in Australia.
  • Proven track record of success in selling new business and attaining sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian education system, including school operations, curriculum, and technology needs.
  • Familiarity with the procurement processes in Australian schools and educational organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technology skills, with a focus on educating customers and supporting their EdTech implementation.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and long-term relationship building.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Australia during peak sales and conference seasons (up to 50% of the time).
  • Flexibility to work and travel on weekends for conferences and internal sales meetings.

Pay Transparency: The range for On-Target Earnings cash compensation for this role is between $200,000 AUD to $300,000 AUD.  All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
